This project was developed from encounters and photographic records made in different places in South America. This work reflects a personal interest in interpreting poetic elements that visually develop in the landscapes of various countries of the continent and the fusion of these images with the textures and colors of stones such as quartz and marble.
The works are small in size and have a particular interest that consists of merging two principles with which the memory of people is built. The first element is the stone as a body that contains the genetic and energetic information of various ethnic groups and cultures, with which tools were made and monuments and civilizations were raised; the second element is photography, the image revealed by the symbiosis of light and darkness, the time that was, is and will be. The union of these two principles turns the image into a metaphor of the soul, evocation, history, trace, myth. All pieces are unique due to the shape and nature of the stones.
