Although this piece was created as a pairing for a specific subject it is a stand alone piece and so can/will be sold as such by the artist.
The depiction is of a as the name suggests… A piece about'Fire and Ice. However, the artist has created a concept which could not take place in reality, which is that, molten rock'Magma'and a river of broken Ice blocks'Caps'touch together without actually melting, but instead co-exist side-by-side with each other. The technique used was primarily a palette knife method and through some careful colour mixing and blending, in an empasto style has created a very interesting visual artistic effect.
