This painting is a composite. The artist has taken images from two separate locations and merged them (with alterations). The houses are from the Peruvian Andes, and the trees are from a photograph of Brazilian Amazonia. The result is a scene which can be anywhere the viewer wishes it to be, most people say it reminds them of Africa! It is painted using a plastic plant label on recycled cardboard.
