This painting is of the accountant for the banana farm in rural South Yemen. The farm has been destroyed, the banana trees burnt to the ground and many of the people have fled the violence that rages in Yemen. The artist was fortunate in being able to live on the farm for half a year in a period of peace. The painting is oil on recycled cardboard, applied using a plastic plant label.
