Embroidery on water colour worked in high quality fast silk and cotton thread. The left hand corner of the composition is particularly heavily embroidered to bring out the foreground details of the maples leaves and it has a three dimensional quality, especially when light is passed over the threads, which in turn, shimmer and reflect, just like in real nature, the leaves appear to shift about.
The actual work measures 56 X 76 cm and it is mounted in an ivory coloured archival mat card giving the final measurement of 60 X 80 cm. It is framed in light red hard wood and light glass.
